The firm also represents companies and individuals at administrative proceedings and provides legislative and other regulatory representation.
- Claims Handling and Coverage Issues. The firm has direct experience with claims management and serves as claims administrator for professional liability insurance and other programs. The firm routinely advises insurers concerning the establishment and maintenance of efficient claims handling processes and provides counsel on insurance coverage issues including the duty to defend, reservation of rights, coverage denial, policy rescission, and good faith. It has successfully negotiated claims involving "stacked" or multiple policy limits, has prosecuted declaratory judgment actions upholding a single aggregate policy limit, and has successfully helped clients avoid exposure for claims of "bad faith."
