Gary Karnedy and Alexandra Bolanis successfully defeated a multi-million dollar federal class action lawsuit brought by a group of skiers against American Skiing Company (ASC) and entities involved in the purchase and sale of the assets at the Killington Resort in 2007. The class claimed they were entitled to ski for free after the 2007 transaction. The class also alleged that ASC (among others) somehow acted in bad faith during the 2007 transaction. The federal district court disagreed and granted summary judgment in favor of all defendants on May 17, 2010.
