PPEC Files Amicus Brief and Contributes to Prevention of the Expansion of Act 250 Jurisdiction Over Electric Utilities

Bill Piper and Joslyn Wilschek represented municipal electric departments as amicus in Act 250 case: In re Central Vermont Public Service Corporation, Vermont Supreme Court, Doc. No. 2007–441. The firm filed an Amicus Brief in the Vermont Supreme Court on behalf of thirteen municipal electric departments where the Supreme Court held in favor of the electric utilities and reversed the Environmental Court’s decision that would have expanded Act 250 jurisdiction over electric utilities.
